Brown Eyed Girl NFP- Volunteers and Board Members Needed
Chicas -
Brown Eyed Girl NFP (http://www.browneyedgirlnfp.org/), is an organization that designs and implements programming for girls in foster care. Our programs are based on the e5 methodology: education, empowerment, exposure,
engagement and evolution.
Past projects of the organization include:
-Brunch and a trip to American Girl Place
-8-week Summer dance camp at Bryant Ballet
-Cooking classes
-Videography (culminating in movie premiere for community, teen
violence topic)
- Education and experience in the following area: Photography, sexual and emotional health, community service, body image, etc.
Brown Eyed Girl NFP is looking for 4 new board members. Board members are required
to attend 1 meeting per month (Saturday morning), assure that the
organization sticks to it's mission statement and goals. The BM
will also be responsible for joining a committee to work on various
initiatives. Experience would be great but it is not required.
Additionally, they looking for volunteers!

if you are interested in serving on our board or just volunteering.

ChicaGoGetter - Tovah : BRAVO Step It Up & Dance

We love it when a "home girl" is making moves! Presenting to some and introducing to others, Tovah, an accomplished dancer born and raised on Chicago's South Side who is one of 12 contestants on the reality show "Step It Up & Dance" which will air on BRAVO starting April 3, 2008.
For those of you who know or have met Tovah, you're well aware of her dancing abilities (she has that special dancer's walk and demeanor, sorry to stereotype but its a compliment). To top that off, she has the sweet spirit and nature of a true GoGetter!
We're extremely proud of you Tovah and we're going to have our eyes glued to BRAVO for the premiere of the show!
