How Do You Define Wealth?
While perusing Facebook (obviously not during work hours ...) I came across this amazing post from my friend. I couldn't have said this any better. This definitely is a reality check for those who qualify wealth based solely on material or fiscal parameters.
In my book. completely "balling out of control" would be living a balanced life, spending quality time with my loved one on a consistent basis, and maintaining my spiritual and physical fitness. To take it to an even higher level, extreme wealth ( and I mean super rich), would be leap-frogging happiness and living in a state of unwavering joy (grabbing racks of it and making it rain at will #pow).
How do you define wealth? What does "being rich" mean to you? (Comment Section is wide open, below. Don't be scared!).

GoGetterCertified - The Cool

The Cool is the second studio album by Lupe Fiasco. It will be dropping tomorrow, December 18, 2007 in the United States and January 14, 2008 in the United Kingdom (sorry for the delay to my Chicas in the UK). The Cool is Lupe's first concept album, based on a song from his debut album Food & Liquor of the same name. The album features production from Soundtrakk, Unkle, and Patrick Stump, among others. Guest appearances include, but are not limited to, GemStones, Snoop Dogg, and Matthew Santos.
I've had a private listen of the album and am definitely IMPRESSED. Not too many sophomores hit a home run, but Lupe stays true to his beliefs and convictions and does not disappoint. He also continues to proudly represent Chicago with witty mentions of the city of wind on several of the album's tracks.
XOXO,

GoGetterCertified - Tyler Perry's "Why Did I Get Married?"

"Why Did I Get Married?" has been out for a couple weeks now and boasts an all-star cast of Chicas (including Janet Jackson, Ms. Jill Scott and up-and-coming superstar Sharon Leal among others). Mr. Perry has refined his writing and directing style with every film project and this holds true with his latest release.
"Why Did I Get Married?" is good for anyone looking for a good film, but it is a must see for couples. A few folks that we've spoken to have admitted to seeing themselves in some of the characters. The film takes a hard look at the complexities of male and female relationships, and although it takes a more lighthearted route in some cases, it touches on subjects that are often too taboo to address, even with the one you love.
The movie will have you ROLLING and crying...Check it out..its Certified!

ChicaGoGetter Certified - GET YOURS!- Amy Dubois Barnett

Amy Dubois Barnett former Editor of Teen People and Editor-In-Chief of Honey magazine has dropped a witty, funny, wise and fresh book "Get Your's! - The Girlfriend's Guide To Having Everything You Ever Dreamed Of And More".
When I heard the book was coming out a few months ago I was a little put off by the title. I've perused many-a-book that offers "10 steps to this" "7 rules for that" and "14 Days to that". Those type of books can sometimes come of rather preachy and feel like they are written for a person with tunnel vision or a singular goal (career success, relationship success etc. etc.). These are subjects relevant to some women, but they rarely serve as a "one-stop-shop" for real Chicas who need a little advice on the things that really matter like family, friends, health/wellness and spiritual growth.
Amy's book comes off as a conversation from a close girlfriend who has been there done that and bought a postcard.!She is real about her life and the stumbling blocks she's had to step over to achieve her successes. The book is in hardback only right now and retails for $22.95. http://www.amyduboisbarnett.com/
